We’re currently on the road to WrestleMania 41, and Elimination Chamber set the stage for the big event in a major way. John Cena earned the right to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship when he won the men’s Elimination Chamber match, and Cena later shocked the world at the end of the show when he turned heel then attacked The American Nightmre.
John Cena’s heel turn was shocking to say the least, and it sounds like fans could be in for more shocking surprises in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 41.
Bryan Alvarez recently discussed the WrestleMania card on Wrestling Observer Live, and it was noted that more twists and turns are coming as we approach the Show of Shows.
“When the Chamber show was over, there were a bunch of matches that seemed like, ‘Okay, now we know what we have for Mania – we’ve got this match, this match, this match’, and I was told that there are more twists and turns coming.
“So if you think that you know the Mania card based on what happened at Elimination Chamber, there are going to be some changes.”
So far a few big title matches have been confirmed for WrestleMania such as Jey Uso vs. Gunther, John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes and Charlotte Flair vs. Tiffany Stratton. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding other top matches that will be added to the card with Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins being one of the matches that’s heavily rumored for the show.
One way or another it sounds like things are about to get interesting ahead of WrestleMania. Stay tuned for updates.
