CM Punk has been a hot topic for months now as everyone has been waiting to see if Punk will return to All Elite Wrestling. It was recently reported by Fightful that there are tentative plans for Punk to return to the company and that his return could happen as early as June.
It’s no big secret that CM Punk has had issues with some of the big names in the locker room, but it’s also been reported that Punk is willing to make an effort to try and work things out.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that CM Punk’s return is said to be a tenuous situation because the backstage issues with him haven’t been settled at all. The working idea is that AEW’s rumored Saturday show will star CM Punk which would split the AEW crews to a large degree.
It was also noted that history has shown splitting crews never lasts long, but the idea is to ease backstage issues so that people who have not made up wouldn’t have to interact with one another. However, there will be instances such as pay-per-views and the upcoming Wembley show where AEW will have to have all hands on deck.
