There aren’t a lot of things you can do to hurt a company’s pay-per-view revenue other than getting the event pulled entirely, and that’s exactly what just happened to Ring Of Honor. Fans who ordered the ROH 15 Anniversary PPV prior to it being pulled were given refunds of their money, and people who relied on Dish Network for their entertainment stream were outraged and perplexed at this extreme decision.
The retraction of the Ring of Honor 15th Anniversary PPV was due to the cease and desist letters Impact Wrestling and Anthem Sports sent out to the Hardys and Ring Of Honor. It turns out they also sent similar letters to any pay-per-view provider that was trying to offer the event to fans.
Broken Matt Hardy isn’t a stranger to controversy, however, this is certainly a big blow to not only the wallets of everyone he’s working with, but their reputations as well. If you add on the fact he’s putting anyone he works with in legal jeopardy, then this action is surely a big one.
Matt Hardy isn’t taking the news lying down, and while he can’t do anything about Dish Network’s decision to pull the outstanding ROH pay-per-view, he can enlighten the masses and put things into perspective.

He is very appreciative of everyone who is standing by him through this turbulent and unsure time. Hardy took to Twitter to retweet a very good unsolicited opinion about the story and offer up some sincere thanks to those who are still feeling his Broken Brilliance no matter what Impact Wrestling might do next.
Dish didn't show the ROH ppv due to a lawsuit threat. TNA, this has to be said. @MATTHARDYBRAND @JEFFHARDYBRAND @RebyHardy @IMPACTWRESTLING pic.twitter.com/DxmUh8Odwq

[…] Impact Wrestling and Anthem Sports aren’t letting the Hardys go quietly. They have sent out cease and desist letters to numerous people including the Hardys and ROH threatening legal action if they continue to use their beloved Broken gimmick. This tactic even caused Dish Network to pull the ROH 15th Anniversary pay-per-view. […]
The Hatdys should’ve waited to perform knowing everything that could’ve happened. Business is business, although I wish tNa wasn’t doing what they’re doing.
[…] acts in America but they’re also in great demand all over the globe. Their former employer, Impact Wrestling is causing them a whole lot of legal problems because they want them to stop using their wildly successful gimmick. This didn’t bode well […]
