Drew McIntyre has been one of the top stars in WWE for years now, but it’s been a while since fans have seen him on TV. The Scottish Warrior last stepped into the ring at WrestleMania 42 back in April when he was defeated by Jacob Fatu, and he’s been away from WWE ever since.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that ideas are being discussed for Drew McIntyre that would see him return to television on the Monday Night Raw brand. The feeling is that Raw could use a star of McIntyre’s magnitude more than SmackDown could.
A plan to bring Drew McIntyre back into the fold was said to have been on the books back in August, and creative was in place until there was a change in direction.
Despite his absence from WWE, Drew has been very busy in recent months as he’s filmed the upcoming Highlander movie with Henry Cavill as well as The Last Druid alongside Russell Crowe.
Even though Drew McIntyre has been away from WWE for months he’s still been active on social media, and he recently posted a video of himself training in the ring, which seems to be an indication that he’s preparing for his return.
