This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was the go-home show for the Money in the Bank PLE, and LA Knight came face to face with Roman Reigns in the ring ahead of their big title match this weekend.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that there was “considerable acclaim” coming out of the Roman Reigns/LA Knight promo segment on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
A source stated that a number of officials who were both backstage, and within production, were particularly impressed with the back and forth between LA Knight and Roman Reigns. They specifically pointed to the level of emotion Roman Reigns was showing as that is something he has at times been reserved about.
It’s being said that the reaction internally was strong enough that there were discussions regarding how effective this version of Roman Reigns could be in the appropriate setting moving forward.
LA Knight has been chasing a world title for some time now and he will be challenging Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank on Saturday. It’s also being reported that Reigns vs. Knight is currently set to main event the show.
Stay tuned for updates.
