Last year John Cena announced that he would be retiring at the end of 2025, and Cena’s retirement tour officially kicked off in January. Even though John Cena is technically on his retirement tour he’s only made a few appearances on WWE programming so far this year as he’s been busy filming a movie.
John Cena picked up a major victory at Elimination Chamber on Saturday night when he won the men’s Elimination Chamber match. Now he’s set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All next month.
Recently John Cena has been confirmed for at least three shows ahead of WrestleMani as he’s been advertised for Raw on March 17, 24 and 31. Now WWE has confirmed Cena for the following post-WrestleMania episodeds of SmackDown:
– May 30 in Knoxville, Tennessee
– June 13 in Lexington, Kentucky
– June 20 in Grand Rapids, Michigan
John Cena shocked the world on Saturday night when he turned heel at Elimination Chamber, destroyed Cody Rhodes, and aligned himself with The Rock. It’s worth noting that Cody is currently part of the SmackDown brand, so Cena being advertised for post-WrestleMania episodes of SmackDown could be an indication that their feud may continue following the Show of Shows.
Stay tuned for updates.
