For almost three years now Roman Reigns has been the man to beat in WWE as he recently celebrated 1,000 days as Universal Champion. Roman also added another belt to his collection last year when he defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39 to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The Tribal Chief has taken on all comers, but so far no one has been able to take the gold from Roman Reigns.

Roman has also been on a major winning streak as he went over three years with out being pinned until that all changed at Money in the Bank on Saturday when he was pinned by his cousin Jey Uso in the main event.

Now Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso is set to take place at SummerSlam this year. This match makes sense given the progression of the storyline as The Bloodline angle kicked off with a Roman vs. Jey feud. Many fans on social media have been calling for WWE to give Jey an opportunity at Roman’s title, so we’ll have to wait and see if Main Event Jey Uso has what it takes to dethrone The Tribal Chief at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam will air live from Ford Field in Detroit, MI on Saturday, August 5. Stay tuned for more updates on the big event as they become available.
