Over the last few years there’s been a lot of movement in the world of professional wrestling. Sasha Banks parted ways with WWE in 2022, but she resurfaced earlier this year when she made her NJPW debut under the name Mercedes Mone.

Mercedes Mone went on to become the IWGP Women’s Champion, but she unfortunately has been out of action for some time now due to an ankle injury she suffered back in May. It’s believed that Mercedes Mone is currently a free agent, and there’s been a lot of speculation among fans regarding where she could end up once she’s cleared to return to the ring.

On Wednesday night WWE held a live event at the TD Garden in Boston, and Mercedes Mone got people talking when she posted a photo of herself standing outside the venue. At this point it’s not clear if Mercedes Mone attended the live event on Wednesday night, or if this photo was taken on a different day, but the former WrestleMania main eventer certainly doesn’t seem to be shying away from rumors of a potential WWE return.

Mercedes Mone also recently got fans talking when she posted photos of her Sasha Banks Funko Pop figures on her Instagram stories. With CM Punk’s recent return it’s clear that you can never say never when it comes to a former WWE star potentially returning to the company. One way or another it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Mercedes Mone.
