SummerSlam is one of WWE’s biggest shows of the year and this weekend the event will air live from Ford Field in Detroit. PWInsider is now reporting that Randy Orton is in Detroit ahead of the WWE SummerSlam premium live event this weekend. There’s currently no word on whether or not Orton will be making an appearance on camera.
Randy Orton has been out of action for over a year now as he last wrestled in May of 2022 when RK-Bro dropped the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles to The Usos on an episode of SmackDown. The Viper then took time off due to injury and underwent back fusion surgery late last year.
Earlier this week it was reported that Randy Orton has not been cleared for in-ring competition, and there have been no extensive conversations regarding what the company has planned for him when he returns. It was also reported that Orton has resumed lifting and has become huge as a result.
Doctors have advised Randy Orton that it wouldn’t be a good idea for him to return to wrestling, but he is still reportedly planning on making a comeback. Stay tuned for updates.
