The last few months have been big for AEW as the company has been selling thousands of tickets for All In at Wembley Stadium and a new show titled Collision also debuted back in June. On the debut episode of Collision on June 17th, Luchasaurus defeated Wardlow to become the new TNT Champion, and since then Wardlow has been off TV.

During a recent appearance at Terrificon 2023 (H/T Fandom Spotlite), Wardlow talked about his absence from television, and he admits that being off TV for a few months has been depressing because wrestling is everything to him.

“It is very surreal for me to be sitting up here, and I think these two gentlemen [Danhausen and Ethan Page] would agree. I think we all have similar come-ups in the business. We’ve been grinding for years. We’ve probably dreamed and wished of getting moments like these our whole lives. So I’ve been off TV for almost a couple months, and I’ve been very depressed. Wrestling is my everything. It makes me happy. So today, I feel like me again for the first time in months. So I just want to say thank you guys for coming out because you guys really flip a switch in my mind and my heart that I needed, so thank you.”

After almost two months of being sidelined AEW has yet to announce any plans for Wardlow’s return to TV, but it sounds like the former TNT Champion is ready to show up for work when the opportunity presents itself.
