When Karrion Kross first debuted in NXT he was established as a force to be reckoned with, and most people assumed that it was only a matter of time before he got a decent push on the main roster.

However, things didn’t work out so well when Kross was called up to Monday Night Raw, and the version of Kross that fans got on the main roster was not the same version they saw in NXT. Shortly after Karrion Kross was called up the decision was made to give him gladiator style ring gear complete with a helmet, and the decision did not go over well with fans.

During a recent appearance on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast the former NXT Champion talked about his run on the WWE main roster, and he revealed exactly what Vince McMahon thought of the new gear.

“This whole concept that people saw on the main roster with the outfit and all that was literally given to me in an email. I was told, paraphrased in the email, basically, these were ideas that were collaboratively thought of, and he was a part of it. So that was sort of how it was basically brought to my attention. Then when the outfit was ready I put it on and asked him what he thought of it. And he said he thought it looked badass.”

What was your reaction the first time you saw the gear? Sound off in the comments below.
