Brock Lesnar returned to Raw last night, and he returned in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN. It appears that WWE expected Brock Lesnar to get booed, but that was not what happened. Paul Heyman tried to get the fans to chant for Goldberg, but instead they booed Goldberg, and cheered Brock Lesnar.

WWE’s booking of former WCW stars has been questionable over the years, and although Goldberg looked great when he returned last week, Brock Lesnar’s awkward segment on Raw didn’t do much to build Goldberg up.
WWE doesn’t have control over what the fans do or don’t chant, but as WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash pointed out on Twitter, perhaps expecting Brock Lesnar to get booed in his hometown was a little much.
Always have the heel return to his home town to castrate the baby face. Welcome back WCW guy 101. Guess 12 years was to soon. Ladder match?
