The Attitude Era is long gone but its legacy lives on in the heart of the fans. The debauchery, sexploitation and over the top violence is still remembered fondly by many who were tuning into WWE at the time. Some feel that WWE has been lacking ever since and many fans who watched during The Attitude Era tuned out shortly after.

John Cena recently commented on the change when he talked to the New York Post.

“In the height of the Attitude Era, it could be compared to a touring frat party. We made a conscious effort to clean up.” Cena said.

He also talked a little bit about why working with Make a Wish means so much to him.

“When I hear that this child wants to hang out with [me] for the day, I think that’s the most flattering thing that I could ever be a part of.” John Cena told the New York Post.

What do you think? Do you like the current version of WWE, or do you prefer it to have a little more attitude?
