john cena

John Cena has been going at Hollywood full-tilt recently and he shows no signs of slowing down. The fact of the matter is that he might go around claiming that we can’t see him, but he’s becoming very visible in Hollywood.

It was announced that John Cena will receive the CinemaCon Action Star of the Year Award. The announcement was make today by Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon. Neuhauser went into some detail about how pleased they were to be bestowing this honor on Super Cena.

“Already a global superstar, entertainer and athlete John Cena has put audiences around the globe on notice with his standout performances in films such as the hit comedy ‘Trainwreck’ and ‘Sisters’. With his undeniable work ethic, genuine and charismatic personality and his already proven ability to entertain, Cena’s upcoming role in ‘The Wall,’ will solidify his place in Hollywood. We are thrilled to be able to honor him with this year’s ‘CinemaCon Action Star of the Year Award.’”

“The Wall” is John Cena’s next movie which is being released by Amazon Studios and Roadside Attractions. The film is set for a May 12, 2017 release. Cena and Aaron Taylor-Johnson star in this gritty and high stakes psychological thriller which will follow two soldiers pinned down by an Iraqi sniper. We can’t wait for this one as it will provide John Cena a chance to show that he’s more than just a comedic actor.

John Cena will receive the award at the “CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards” ceremony which will take place on Thursday, March 30, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
