Over the last few weeks the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments have been the focus of WWE programming and earlier this week Oba Femi and Iyo Sky both advanced to the finals when they won their respective matches on Monday Night Raw.
This week on Friday Night SmackDown, Jey Uso stepped into the ring to face Je’Von Evans in a King of the Ring semifinal match. Ahead of the match the two crossed paths backstage and Jey got upset when Je’Von called him “unc.”

During the match Jey Uso ripped Je’Von’s shirt off to reveal that Je’Von’s ribs were wrapped up. He then wore Je’Von Evans down as he targeted his midsection. At one point Je’Von went to the top rope and Jey pushed him off to send him crashing into the barricade on the outside.
Je’Von still managed to put up quite the fight as he later jumped over the barricade and landed on Jey Uso in the timekeeper’s area. Back in the ring they exchanged strikes and Jey ended up connecting with a superkick and a spear, but Je’Von kicked out at two.
Main Event Jey Uso charged at Evans as he attempted another spear, but Evans countered with a superkick followed by Red Dot. Evans went to the top rope and Jey knocked him down. Jey followed up with a spear and an Uso Splash to win the match. After the match Jey helped Je’Von up and showed him respect as he held his arm up.
Jey Uso will now go on to face Oba Femi in the King of the Ring finals at Night of Champions, and the winner will earn a world championship match at SummerSlam.
