A number of WWE stars have suffered injuries recently as JD McDonagh recently confirmed that he suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung during a match on Raw. Apollo Crews also shared an update this week announcing that he suffered a torn pec during a match on SmackDown a few weeks ago.
Dakota Kai hasn’t appeared on Raw since the January 20 episode when she teamed with Iyo Sky to face Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. Following the match it was reported that Kai was pulled from the road because she suffered a concussion during the bout.
PWInsider is now reporting that Dakota Kai is getting closer to a return. It was noted that the belief is she could be back by the end of February, if not sooner.
Prior to being pulled from the road Dakota Kai had been featured as one of the top competitors in the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament. Many fans were hoping to see Kai became the inaugural champion, but ultimately that honor went to Lyra Valkyria who defeated Dakota Kai in the finals on the January 13 episode of Raw.
