The epic Monday Night Raw 25th anniversary show is almost upon us, and it’s a show that WWE fans definitely won’t want to miss.
The show will feature many names from the past including WWE Hall of Famers, former World Champions and more, but that’s not all. Roman Reigns will also be putting his Intercontinental Championship on the line when he defends the title against The Miz.
Roman defeated The Miz to win the belt on Raw a few months ago, and he became a Grand Slam Champion in the process. Reigns has since been proudly defending the title in an open challenge on Raw, but it looks like his title reign could be coming to an end sooner than later.
According to CageSideSeats, it’s expected that The Miz will defeat Roman Reigns on the Raw 25th anniversary show and win the Intercontinental Championship back.
If that is indeed the case, The Miz will become an 8 time Intercontinental Champion, which will leave him one title reign shy of tying Chris Jericho’s all time record with 9 IC Title wins.
Miz originally dropped the belt to Reigns in order to be written off TV so he could film “The Marine 6.”
However, WrestleMania season is right around the corner, and it’s been expected for over a year now that Roman Reigns will be facing Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 34, so it seems to make sense to have Roman drop the title now and move back into the Universal Title picture.
