Bobby Roode’s “Glorious” entrance music is arguably one of the greatest entrance songs in all of wrestling right now, and the song has kind of taken on a life of its own. It’s also no big secret that Bobby Roode didn’t fall in love with the song right away, and it was originally meant for another NXT star.

Roode confirmed at one point that the song was meant for someone else, but up until now no one knew who. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the song was originally meant to be used by two time NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.

Shinsuke Nakamura was very hands on with his entrance music when he joined the company and he felt that the song wasn’t a good fit for him. Shinsuke played a big part in putting together his current entrance music “The Rising Sun” which seems to be working out quite well for the current SmackDown star.

It’s hard to picture Bobby Roode making his entrance without “Glorious” blasting through the speakers and the same thing could be said about Shinsuke Nakamura and “The Rising Sun.”

Now it’s hard to imagine either star with different entrance music, but things could have been very different if Nakamura had embraced “Glorious” when he first heard it.
