WrestleMania 39 is less than two weeks away and it was recently confirmed that Brock Lesnar will be facing Omos on the Grandest Stage of Them All. it was reported that a number of opponents were pitched for Brock Lesnar, one of which happened to be former Universal Champion Bray Wyatt. However, Brock Lesnar reportedly nixed the idea of facing Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania.

During a recent interview with Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge, WWE Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on why Brock Lesnar turned down the match when he said, “That’s not his niche, so I don’t blame him. You do what you’re told if they ask you, but ‘why should I?’”

With a Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt match off the table WWE shifted plans to set up Bray Wyatt vs. Bobby Lashley for the Showcase of the Immortals. However, Teddy Long doesn’t seem interested in that match either as he added, “That just doesn’t do anything for me.”

Bray Wyatt has not been appearing on TV in recent weeks as it was reported that he’s dealing with some sort of health issue. WWE has not been promoting his match with Bobby Lashley and Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that while it hasn’t been confirmed it looks like the match is off the show.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
