– Kevin Owens kicked off SmackDown with a promo. CM Punk interrupted, Gunther then interrupted Punk, then Finn Balor interrupted. Kevin Owens vs. Gunther vs. Finn Balor in a #1 contender’s match was announced.
– The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend) defeated Tiffany Stratton & Chelsea Green. Chelsea returned to the match after medics took her away.
– Gunther interrupted Nick Aldis and Danhausen while they were backstage
– Tatum Paxley defeated Michin
– Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton promo exchange in the ring. Orton tried to get Cody to touch him when he called Brandi Rhodes Cody’s “trashy a** wife.”
– Jacy Jayne defeated Paige. Nikki Bella returned and attacked Paige after the match
– Blake Monroe got beat up by Giulia during a backstage interview
– Gunther vs. Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens to determine the number one contender ended with no winner as Sami Zayn interfered. CM Punk came out and Sami Zayn laid everyone out with the title belt to end the show.
