Since taking over WWE creative back in July, Triple H has established a reputation for bringing wrestlers back, but recently the new regime let go of a top NXT star when Mandy Rose was released. It was reported that WWE decided to part ways with Mandy Rose due to explicit content posted on her FanTime page which the company felt crossed the line.
Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. addressed the release on his Wrestling With Freddie podcast and he called the decision to release Mandy Rose the “first fumble” from the Triple H regime.
“In what I think might be the first fumble that Triple H has had, they released Mandy Rose, the NXT Champion.”
“I don’t know if the people you’re hiring, who you define, the company defines, as subcontractors, meaning they are not employees of the WWE, that’s how they get away with not paying for insurance for these wrestlers. That’s why all professional wrestlers have to carry their own insurance before WWE will even look at them. There’s some crazy stuff there that is not cool.”
