The year is quickly coming to an end and there’s only one episode of Raw left but it won’t be live. Instead WWE has decided to air a best of 2022 show while WWE talent will still be working live events.

Fightful Select reports that one talent indicated that hadn’t been told why there is no live Raw next week and they wondered about it themselves. It was noted that the decision was likely made to give production workers some additional time off.

Another WWE source confirmed this and added that while WWE talent will still be working live events it takes far less people to do that and sometimes there are entire departments that don’t have to work the events. As of right now WWE will not have live TV tapings on the main roster from December 20 to December 28 which gives that entire group and extended period of time off.

One talent noted that it was probably a good move with John Cena’s return coming on the final SmackDown of the year and the first live Raw of 2023 on January 2. That talent also noted that while they’d like more time off around the holiday they’re being paid well to work on December 26 and the following week.
