A number of former WWE stars have gotten into other combat sports, and Patrick Clark (formerly known as Velveteen Dream) is set to make his boxing debut this weekend. Clark will be facing off against Ryan Pownall at Duel Arena 1 in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, August 29th.
Ahead of the event a press conference was held, and things quickly escalated between Patrick Clark and his opponent ahead of their boxing match this weekend.
“I am the real deal,” Clark said. “The Kia Center is not Patrick Clark’s first, or The Velveteen Dream’s first f*****g day on the job. You hear me motherf****r? I’ve been in the Barclays Center, I’ve been in Madison Square Garden, I’ve been in the Staples Center. I’ve been everywhere.”
Patrick Clark’s opponent then fired back when he said, “And now look at you. Now he’s fighting in food courts at the mall. People are ordering Subway, and you’re getting your a** kicked.”
Clark then got up and rushed his opponent as security held him back. He proceeded to grab a metal pole and go after his opponent as security attempted to remove him from the room. However, Clark rushed the stage one more time and got physical with his opponent as security finally removed him.
The full exchange can be seen below.
