Paul Heyman certainly has an interesting history when it comes to his WWE tenure. Heyman has taken on a number of different roles with WWE over the years and in 2006 he was in charge of the ECW brand.

ECW closed out the year with the December to Dismember pay-per-view which wasn’t well received. Shortly after the pay-per-view Heyman parted ways with WWE.

Matt Hardy stepped into the ring at December to Dismember as The Hardys faced off against MNM in a ladder match. During a recent episode of the Extreme Life podcast Matt Hardy talked a little bit about what was going on behind the scenes and he noted that Vince McMahon wasn’t happy with the show.

“We heard there was a big dust-up between Paul Heyman and Vince. And I guess, as the show was going on, there was big arguments and I guess the show, as it was going down, Vince wasn’t happy with it. There had always been a lot of tension between VKM and Paul Heyman, and I think a lot of that just comes from professional pride.”

Even though Paul Heyman parted ways with WWE in 2006 he has since returned to the company in 2012 and is currently a key figure in The Bloodline storyline.
