For weeks now MJF has been putting roadblocks in front of Bryan Danielson on the road to their title match at the Revolution pay-per-view, and last week on Dynamite it was announced that Bryan would be facing off against former WWE NXT star Timothy Thatcher in his next match.

On Wednesday night Bryan Danielson made his way to the ring and he clashed with Thatcher. Danielson and Thatcher worked a hard hitting match and they pushed one another to the limit.

During the match MJF made his way down to the ringside area, but he was cut off by Konosuke Takeshita who chased him away before he had a chance to interfere. Shortly after Bryan managed to put Thatcher away with the Psycho Knee to win the match.

After the match ended the cameras cut backstage where MJF was seen brawling through the hallways with Takeshita before they were broken up by AEW officials. Renee Paquette then announced that per Tony Khan we will see MJF face off against Takeshita in an eliminator match on Dynamite.

Timothy Thatcher was released from his WWE contract in January of 2022 and he ended up making his debut with Pro Wrestling Noah a few months later. It’s not clear at this point in time if AEW will be bringing him back for more appearances. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
