There are always big moves being made in the world of professional wrestling, and earlier this year Mick Foley officially announced that he would be parting ways with WWE. Foley made his debut with All Elite Wrestling at Double or Nothing in May, and now it seems that his time with WWE has come to an end.
Mick Foley posted a video on social media confirming that as of today he is no longer under a Legends contract with WWE. The former WWE Champion also posted a video in which he sincerely thanked WWE, and also hyped up his future with AEW.
“The message for WWE, and specifically for their merchandise and marketing people, the message is thank you, and I mean that sincerely. When I go to WWE in 1996, I had been in the business for 11 years, and I finally got an action figure. I figured that was my one and only action figured, and here it is 2026, and honestly a couple days ago I just received my largest quarterly royalty statement in probably 10 years. So, I wanna thank everyone in WWE who had a hand in making the decision that I was someone worthy of making action figures for, and different types of merchandise.
For fans I want you to know I have no problem signing WWE memorabilia. I look forward to it. I’m proud of everything I did there, but it’s time for a new chapter, in my career, and in my life. I’m really looking forward to this adventure with AEW, and I’m really looking forward to doing everything I can possibly do to making AEW as great as it can possibly be.”
