The WWE main roster is constantly changing as a number of wrestlers get released every year, and sometimes the names who get released are surprising to say the least. Last year WWE decided to part ways with former Universal Champion Braun Strowman, and the Monster Among Men has mostly stayed away from wrestling until recently.
Over the weekend Strowman finally returned to the ring during the Great Lakes Championship Wrestling on July 11th. He teamed with Kal Herro to defeat Drew Hernandez, Tony Evans & Tommy Boy in a two on three handicap match. This was Strowman’s first match since the 4/18/25 episode of SmackDown when he teamed with LA Knight to defeat Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu.
Since parting ways with WWE last year the former Universal Champion has kept busy with his show on USA Network, Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman, which is currently on its second season. He also announced earlier this year that he had launched his own production company called Meat Castle Media.
Shortly after Strowman was released from WWE it was reported that the company let him go due to his high salary as the feeling was that he was being paid more than they were using him.
At this point in time it’s currently unclear if the Monster Among Men is looking to wrestle more in the future, or if his return to the ring was just a one off.
Stay tuned for updates.
