Thursday night after he lost the NXT Championship to Samoa Joe in Lowell, Finn Balor told fans outside the venue that he would see them on Monday. He also retweeted a message from WWE Superstar Kevin Owens which said “see you soon buddy” leading many to believe that Balor is main roster bound.
Fans everywhere picked up on the teasers and they let Finn know all about it at the NXT live event in Poughkeepsie on Saturday night. Samoa Joe successfully defended his NXT Championship against Finn Balor and Austin Aries in a triple threat match, and after the match Finn Balor addressed the crowd.
At one point the crowd was chanting “See you Monday,” and Finn managed to quiet them down by talking. Balor talked about his record breaking title reign and how he feels like a part of him is missing because he doesn’t have the NXT Championship. He said that there are a lot of rumors going around about Monday, but he has some bad news for Samoa Joe because he’s staying in NXT. You can check it out in the clip below.

It was recently noted on Wrestling Observer Live that original plans for the Samoa Joe/Finn Balor feud called for Balor to get his rematch in a big gimmick match at the next Takeover event.
