Reports are that Samoa Joe’s debut on the Raw brand was because he had been enlisted as Triple H’s heavy-hand. He was supposed to keep up his rivalry with Seth Rollins, battling at house shows and at Fastlane. One can only assume that this might have been planned as an instance of classic booking where the heel put someone in-between himself and the face challenging him with a stipulation in the vein of “you can get to me if you beat him first.”
As amazing at it would be to see Seth and Joe go at it in Milwaukee it will most likely not come to pass due to Rollins’ now well-known injury. Although Rollins was injured during his altercation with Joe, so the chances that the two will scrap eventually are still very high.
Another casualty of Rollins re-injuring his right knee is that Samoa Joe doesn’t have a dance partner at Fastlane just like Triple H very well might not have someone to wrestle with on April 2nd.
WWE creative is reportedly coming up with new ideas all the time, and eventually, something has to be done with Samoa Joe as he just broke the red brand wide open with his surprising debut. There might be groundwork laid as early as next Monday, but until something is figured out, fans can only really speculate.
The latest word making the rounds is that Shane McMahon is going to be pulled from his planned match with AJ Styles so The Money can face The Game. There is still no word on how Samoa Joe will be used if Rollins isn’t in the picture, but Monday is certainly going to an interesting broadcast, to say the least.
