Brock Lesnar made his big return to WWE last night in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN, but Brock wasn’t the only hometown star to appear on Raw. Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel also appeared on Raw, and he received a great reaction from the fans in attendance.

Curtis Axel was definitely over with the Minneapolis fans, and he made the most of it. Before his match with Bo Dallas, Axel cut a great promo talking about his lineage and the crowd popped big time when he mentioned his father and grandfather. Axel then threw his hands up, clapped, and chanted “skol” as the crowd played along.

It was a sight to behold and arguably the greatest reaction that Curtis Axel has received during his WWE career. Unfortunately for Axel the love from the crowd wasn’t enough to help him get the victory because he lost the match when he was defeated by his former friend Bo Dallas. Things didn’t get much better for Curtis Axel after he left the ring either.

According to fans in attendance Curtis Axel signs were being confiscated at Raw last night. Axel and some fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure over the confiscated signs, and Axel even asked WWE why they would take them. You can see what Axel and the fans had to say below.
