Earlier this year Mike and Maria parted ways with Global Force Wrestling. They had been a big part of Impact since they debuted with the company, but they decided to pursue other opportunities. However, their run on SmackDown Live hasn’t exactly been a home run so far, as the duo has only been showcased sporadically on the weekly show.

One fan took to Twitter to ask Mike Kanellis if he appreciates that WWE has turned him into a jobber, and Mike had the following response.

Mike Kanellis also took to Instagram to comment on his Ring of Honor debut which he’s celebrating this month and he noted that many fans told him he wouldn’t last in the business.

“This month 7 years ago I debuted for @ringofhonor. Instantly fans told me to quit and that I wouldn’t last, or I wouldn’t amount to anything. In that moment I had 2 choices, prove them right or prove them wrong. 7 years later, I still have those 2 choices. Your path is always created by you. Build your house with the bricks people throw at you.”
