ec3

The Impact Wrestling roster went through some changes at the recent television tapings in Orlando, and some of the company’s top stars are no longer wrestling for Impact.

Former World Heavyweight Champions Bobby Lashley and Ethan Carter III are among those who parted ways with the company, and there’s been a lot of speculation in regards to whether or not they will show up in WWE.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that they’ve confirmed EC3 is heading to WWE. EC3, real name Michael Hutter, does own the rights to the EC3 name, and Impact Wrestling recently made it clear that they will be allowing talents to keep their gimmicks when they leave the company.

However, it’s unknown whether or not WWE will let him use the name.

Former TNA stars such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode and others haven’t had to change their names, but then again EC3 was given the name because he was introduced as Ethan Carter III, aka Dixie Carter’s nephew. So, we’ll just have to wait and see if that’s a factor.

EC3 is said to be free and clear to work where he wants. When he might show up in WWE is unknown, but it’s worth mentioning that he did recently pull out of an indie appearance scheduled on the same day as the Royal Rumble.
