The stars of NXT showed the world what they could do Saturday night at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia, and some of WWE’s newest signees were in the house.
Ricochet made an appearance on at the event when the camera showed him sitting in the crowd, and former ROH tag team War Machine appeared on camera as well.
Prior to the main event, the cameras showed another familiar face in the crowd when the focused on former Impact Wrestling World Champion EC3.
WWE previously confirmed Ricochet and War Machine had signed with the company, and they officially confirmed EC3’s status on Saturday night when he was referred to as “NXT’s newest signee.”
So it appears that NXT will be joining the NXT brand, not the main roster, and it’s also been confirmed that he’s keeping his name.

EC3 recently finished up with Impact Wrestling at the most recent set of tapings, and shortly after he was released from his contract it was reported that he was WWE bound.
There was some speculation in regards to whether or not the company would let him keep his name, but it appears it’s a non-issue at this point.
