Donald Trump has made several appearances on WWE programming over the years, and he’s also the first WWE Hall of Famer to win a presidential election. Trump has a long history with the McMahon family, and he recently named Linda McMahon the Administrator of Small Businesses. Donald Trump knows a thing or two about business, but an old Triple H interview has been making the rounds online and it’s making people wonder how much Donald Trump actually knows about wrestling.
During a 2008 interview with Opie and Anthony, Sam Roberts asked Triple H about Vince McMahon’s infamous exploding limo, and Triple H noted that the angle fooled a lot of people. According to Triple H, the office was getting a lot of calls the next day, and one of those calls from came from Donald Trump.
“What kills me is, so many people called the office the next day. He’d probably be mad at me for saying it, but, like — Trump called and was like, ‘Did something happen to Vince?’ That’s the magic of television”
