Chris Benoit is one of the most controversial subjects to talk about in the wrestling community. So his son David has an uphill battle if he wants to make it to WWE. One of the things talked about is using the “Benoit” name, here’s some of what David Benoit has said on the subject:
“For all you dirtsheets out there and all you fans, it was at a show in Edmonton, two years ago, I sat down in the production office, talking to one of the writers, they said ‘Yup, we’ll use the Benoit name again. We could do a lot with it.’ There’s the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.”
As we mentioned before, David will be making his wrestling debut tagging with Chavo Guerrero at a Hart Legacy event.
David has talked openly about how he believes his dad would have already been inducted into the Hall of Fame if not for the brutal ending to his life that occurred. Benoit was asked what he thinks his father would be doing if he was still here and David believes his dad would either be working with the NXT talents or have opened his own wrestling school.
