It’s a big year for contracts in the professional wrestling world as there’s been a lot of activity all across the board. Ricochet has been making regular appearances on WWE programming in recent months, but it sounds like the current WWE Speed Champion’s contract is set to expire sooner than later.

Now Fightful Select and PWN’s Viper are reporting that Ricochet’s WWE contract is set to expire this summer. It was reported back in 2019 that Ricochet had signed a five year deal with the company, and as of this writing that deal is expiring in the summer of this year.

The expectation is that Ricochet will be getting heavy interest from outside companies who can afford him. WWE sources have noted that there are plans for the two sides to engage in contract discussions.

Numerous WWE contracts are set to expire this year as the company signed a number of wrestlers to five year deals in 2019, and some three year extensions in 2021. It was noted that WWE set up many of the deals that way so that they would coincide with their TV deals.
