This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from Jacksonville, Florida and the show featured an appearance from the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella.
As the champions were cutting a promo inside the ring they were interrupted by Fatal Influence. The trio stepped up to Paige and Brie Bella as they made it clear that they have their sights set on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and WWE Women’s Championship.
It wasn’t long before The Irresistible Forces made their presence felt as Lash Legend & Nia Jax made their way down to the ring. Shortly after things got physical as Nia Jax and Lash Legend each drove their microphones into the heads of Paige and Brie Bella respectively.
Following the attack Paige took to social media to confirm that she was busted open when Nia Jax hit her with the microphone. The current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion posted some graphic photos showing off the wound along with a caption which said, ‘So @LinaFanene said “welcome back b***h #Smackdown.”
At this point in time there’s currently no word on if Paige will have to miss any time in the ring due to the injury, but she indicated in her recent Instagram story that she will be looking for revenge as she posted a caption which said, “There’s a receipt brewing.”
One way or another it looks like business is picking up for the WWE women’s tag team division.
