CM Punk made his return to TV a few months ago during the premiere episode of AEW Collision, and he’s had a consistent presence on the show ever since..

Fightful Select reports that towards the start of CM Punk’s run on AEW Collision, during the Canada tapings, Punk had words with Jack Perry about an idea Perry was pushing for a segment.

According to people on CM Punk’s side Jack Perry wanted to use real glass in a backstage segment. Punk was of the belief that he did this so he wouldn’t have to come to work the following week, which Punk sees as a big problem in the company.

Per CM Punk’s side, Jack Perry was going against doctors and production and Tony Schiavone also advised Jack Perry not to do it. Perry was told smashing real glass was a safety hazard, which he wasn’t happy with. There were guidelines put in place for talent shortly after regarding things that would require clearance.

The claim is that CM Punk was asked to step in and he calmly told Jack Perry that they don’t do that on Saturdays, and he could stay on Wednesdays if he didn’t like it. Word of the situation then made its way around the locker room and it was referred to as an argument. Punk’s claim was that Jack Perry was throwing a temper tantrum over the spot not being cleared.
