For many years Shawn Michaels delivered main event level performances inside the ring on WWE programming, and there are quite a few people out there who feel that HBK is the greatest wrestler ever.
Ric Flair certainly has a high opinion of Shawn Michaels, as he recently told WWE UK that he thinks the Heartbreak Kid is the greatest worker ever.
“It’s not arguable anymore, Shawn is the greatest worker in the history of our business. I think everybody would give that to him.”
“For my money, in the ring, I’d put him and Ricky Steamboat in a class by themselves. I always liked being around Shawn. As far as a guy in the ring I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody better.”
CM Punk weighed in on the conversation when he responded to a Ric Flair quote praising Shawn Michaels on Twitter with a GIF of The Dude from The Big Lebowski saying “Yeah, well, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.”
