cm punk

CM Punk last appeared on AEW programming when he defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship at All Out back in September and after the show he was involved in a physical altercation with The Elite.

Since then there’s been a lot of questions about CM Punk’s AEW status and Dax Harwood recently addressed the situation on his FTR with Dax Harwood podcast. During the show Dax made it clear that he hopes Punk and The Elite can work out their issues and move forward.

“It’s four guys who want to be the best. Regardless of what any of us think personally, I know that we all want to be the best and I know we all want the best for professional wrestling.

“It’s given us a life that we could never have otherwise. This is my plea to all four guys. Please find a way to make it work. If we can make it work, we can set up the future of professional wrestling for a long time and we can change the course of professional wrestling for a very long time.”

The Pro Wrestling Podcast then took to Instagram to share a screenshot of an article headline referencing Dax’s plea along with the following caption: “Let’s just shake hands and say sorry lol No but seriously.”

CM Punk took it upon himself to comment on the post with a simple one word response which said, “Duh.”

At this point it’s not clear where the CM Punk situation could go from here as it’s been reported that AEW was in talks to buy out CM Punk’s contract, but Tony Khan has neither confirmed nor denied that claim. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
