JoJo introduced this match like it was a big deal. Each man got about the equal response from the crowd. Kevin Owens stayed at ringside and yelled “buddy” a lot. Although they are all in different stages in their careers, all three Canadians in this match really are at the top of their game.

Y2J and Zayn jumped did a nice sequence in the ring until Chris rolled outside the ring to confer with Kevin. Once they got back in the ring, Jericho took advantage as he hit Zayn in the corner with a couple of strikes and he pressed a knee into Sami’s face. Sami created some separation and hit Jericho with a cross body and a drop kick.

Jericho powered out of the ring and the Underdog from the Underground hit him with one of those awesome over the top rope dives that he’s made famous.

When we got back from the break, Jericho was still applying the pressure to Sami. Kevin jumped up and gave Chris a high-five. Y2J hit a Lionsault and got a close two-count. Jericho went for the Codebreaker, but Zayn blocked him and turned it into an exploder suplex in the corner. Sami went for the Helluva kick, but Y2J reversed it into the Walls of Jericho, but Zayn blocked it.

Sami hit Jericho with a Blue Thunder Bomb and got a close two-count as the crowd chanted “this is awesome.” Sami eventually went for a DDT, but Jericho countered it and turned Sami into the Walls of Jericho.

Zayn crawled to the ropes after being in the Walls for quite some time. Then Kevin kicked Sami in the face. Zayn turned around dazed, Chris hit the Codebreaker and got the three-count to retain his United States Championship.

Maybe Kevin needs to be in the shark cage if these two ever meet again
