This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw took place from Madison Square Garden in New York City and the show featured a big tornado tag match as Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee faced off against The New Day.
Near the end of the match Dragon Lee sent Kofi over the top rope with clothesline then dove over the top rope to take Kofi down. After Dragon Lee took out Kofi a masked man appeared and stood on the barricade.
The masked man jumped off the barricade and took Dragon Lee to the ground with a hurricanrana. Rey Mysterio slid out of the ring and went after the masked man, but he sent Mysterio face first into the apron then hit Rey with a German suplex on the floor. The masked man put his hands up and shouted “Thank you!” As the cameras focused on the man an American Made logo could be seen on the top of his luchador mask.
Security chased off the masked man as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods got back in the ring. The New Day hit their finisher as Xavier Woods pinned Rey Mysterio to win the match.
Later in the show Cathy Kelley interviewed Chad Gable and he claimed that the person in the mask wasn’t him. Cathy Kelley accused Gable of lying while pointing out that the person wearing the mask was also wearing the same outfit as Gable. However, Gable insisted that the person in the mask was a fan, and that Madison Square Garden needed better security. In the background security guards could be seen removing a person in the mask while Gable called the security “pathetic.”
