Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Universal Champion, and for weeks now everyone has been trying to figure out who his next opponent will be. It looked like Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar were on a collision course, and it was believed that Brock would be defending his Universal Title against Strowman at Great Balls of Fire in July.

Unfortunately those plans went out the window when Braun Strowman injured his elbow. It was originally reported that Braun would only be out of action for 4 to 6 weeks, but he recently underwent surgery, and according to WWE he will be out for 6 months.

With Braun on the shelf, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle had to come up with a plan to determine Brock’s next challenger. Angle kicked off Raw this week, and he announced that at Extreme Rules Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt will face off in a fatal 5-way at the event, and the winner will go on to challenge Brock Lesnar.

After Kurt Angle made the announcement, Roman Reigns made his way down to the ring to say that he should be the #1 contender because he beat The Undertaker. Balor, Joe, Wyatt and Rollins soon followed and each man cut a promo.

Rollins suggested that everyone fight, and that’s exactly what they did to end the segment.
