You never know when Goldberg might come back for a big match, and a few weeks ago he returned to WWE programming to challenge Bobby Lashley to a WWE Championship match at the SummerSlam pay-per-view.

The Lashley vs. Goldberg feud has been heated over the last few weeks, and on Saturday night the two WWE Superstars finally faced off when they met in the ring at Allegiant Stadium.

Goldberg dominated the match early on, but when he went for a spear MVP pulled Lashley out of the ring. Goldberg then got out of the ring too and hit Lashley with the spear on the outside. The action returned to the ring, but MVP interfered when he hit Goldberg in the knee with his cane from the outside.

Lashley then focused on Goldberg’s leg as the Hall of Famer sold the knee injury. Goldberg rolled outside the ring, but Lashley picked him up and rammed Goldberg’s knee into the ring post twice.

Goldberg got back in the ring, but when he tried to stand his knee gave out and he fell. The referee then called for the bell and Bobby Lashley was announced as the winner of the match because Goldberg couldn’t continue.

After the match Lashley attacked Goldberg with a chair several times and completely destroyed him. Goldberg’s son then got in the ring and jumped on Lashley, but Lashley put him in the Hurt Lock. MVP called Lashley off and looked on at the carnage in the ring. He got on the mic and said there’s no way Lashley could have known he was being attacked by Goldberg’s son.

Goldberg checked on his son and yelled “I’m gonna kill you” as Lashley and MVP went to the back.
