Retirements have been a very hot topic in the wrestling world recently as names like Goldberg, John Cena and AJ Styles have all retired from in-ring competition over the last year. Now it seems that another wrestler is getting ready to hang up the boots for good.

During the latest episode of the Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki Bella revealed that she’s currently planning to retire from professional wrestling at the end of 2027

“You know, I’m coming close to the end. I know I’ve talked about this, but I am like, and I’m very great with that. Year and a half, like whatever it is, the end of 2027. I really just want to finish this out exactly how I want it. If I gotta break rules, I’m gonna break rules, but I want to end it how I see it, so I don’t look back and go, ‘What if?’”

Nikki Bella also noted that as she approaches the end of her career she wants to challenge herself creatively, and stand up for what she believes in.

Last year Nikki kicked off her current run with WWE when she returned during the women’s Royal Rumble match. In the months that followed Nikki competed in the women’s division as a singles star, but she reunited with Brie earlier this year. The Bella Twins were originally set to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania until Nikki suffered an ankle injury weeks before the big show.

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, Nikki Bella finally returned and it’s been confirmed that she will be teaming up with Brie & Paige to face Fatal Influence at SummerSlam.
