They say that anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling, and this week on AEW Dynamite a new TNT Champion was crowned. Darby Allin defended his TNT Championship in a no holds barred match against Samoa Joe in the main event which ended with Joe capturing the gold once again.
Darby Allin wasted no time as he entered the ring wearing a shirt covered in thumbtacks. Allin ran into Joe and drove the tacks into the challenger. The match was brutal and Joe got busted open.
At one point Darby put the shirt with the thumbtacks back on after it have been removed then he hit Joe with the Coffin Drop while wearing it. However, Joe managed to kick out. As Joe was collecting himself Darby Allin started removing the ring apron to expose the wood underneath. Darby hit Joe with a chair several times and Joe ended up on the exposed wood. Allin went to the top rope, but Samoa Joe pushed the referee into the ropes which caused Darby to fall down. Samoa Joe then hit the Muscle Buster on the exposed wood to win the match.
Samoa Joe is now a two time TNT Champion and a double champion once again as he currently holds the ROH TV Championship as well. After the match Former TNT Champion Wardlow made his return to a big pop from the crowd and he attacked Samoa Joe then went for a powerbomb, but Joe escaped. Security came out to calm Wardlow down and he destroyed them as the show went off the air.
