Rumor is that Batista hasn’t been doing too well. Remember when he left the WWE after his lackluster return where he was promised another WWE title run, but they gave it to Daniel Bryan instead? Well, since then he’s become an alien warrior, a Bond villain, and now he’s set to star in a Jodie Foster film, so things keep getting worse and worse. Just kidding, Dave Bautista has been doing great and things seem to be going well for him!

He obviously isn’t letting the tragic circumstances surrounding his latest WWE run bother him because he keeps snagging great roles. The sequel for “Guardians of the Galaxy” looks great and his characterization of Drax the Destroyer has been a huge selling point in regards to the comedic aspects of that franchise. At this point, The Animal is a full-fledged movie star to say the least.

Deadline reports that “Hotel Artemis” is set to be a crime thriller produced by Steven and Simon Cornwell and the film will star Jodie Foster and Dave Bautista in prominent roles. Drew Pearce is slated to direct the film. Pearce is best known for his writing on “Iron Man 3” and “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.” Although the plot details are somewhat scarce at this point, these names are certainly seem likely to put together a quality production.

This movie might very well be yet another step for Batista in regards to getting him real critical acclaim. The production staff is A-list as well, and working with Jodie Foster will give Batista a real opportunity to show his true acting range.

We’re really excited to see Batista stretch his acting legs, how about you?
