This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live featured a big main event that saw Kevin Owens face off against Sami Zayn, and it also featured the unveiling of the first ever SmackDown Top 10 List.
One thing this week’s episode of SmackDown Live didn’t feature was a Baron Corbin match.
According to Brad Shepard of BodySlam.net, Corbin was kept off TV last night because he usually gets a loud pop in Kansas City, MO.
Corbin is currently working as a heel, but he has a history in Missouri as he played where he played an offensive guard for the Northwest Missouri State University.
Apparently Baron Corbin was intentionally kept off TV, but a fan in attendance noted that he got the biggest pop of the night when he came out for a dark match. He teamed with Jinder Mahal and lost to AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.
A fan in attendance at #SDLive said Baron Corbin received the loudest pop of the night. He was intentionally kept off TV because Smackdown Live was held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO. He wrestled in a dark match, teaming with Jinder, and losing to AJ and Shinsuke. #WEE
