Last week Roman Reigns was involved in a backstage incident on SmackDown Live, and this week The Big Dog was involved in a hit and run on Raw.
It seems that someone is out to get The Big Dog and on Tuesday night Buddy Murphy told Roman Reigns that Erick Rowan was behind the forklift incident on SmackDown last week.
PWInsider is reporting that originally Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan was supposed to be added to the SummerSlam card, but the word making the rounds backstage at SmackDown is that the match will likely be dropped so that the storyline can play out.
Daniel Bryan’s career altering announcement angle also appears to have been dropped as there was no mention of it backstage last night.
Even though SmackDown Live ended with a reveal regarding Rowan’s involvement, it’s being said that’s not 100% set in stone as other ideas have been pitched for Roman Reigns mystery attacker storyline.
It’s worth noting that Roman Reigns is currently scheduled to face Daniel Bryan at upcoming live events following the SummerSlam pay-per-view.
