dolph ziggler

Dolph Ziggler hasn’t been on the end of the best booking of his WWE career over the past few months, with many of the WWE Universe convinced that this was because he was coming to the end of his career.

It was reported by various sources earlier this year that Ziggler’s contract ran out sometime in October, which would mean that his 2 out of 3 falls match with Bobby Roode this past week on SmackDown would have been his last WWE match.

According to Dave Meltzer, on the latest episode of The Wrestling Observer, this is not the case. Meltzer answered the latest fan question regarding The Showoff’s current deal with WWE by stating that Ziggler most-likely signed a three-year deal with the company two years ago and that his current deal wouldn’t expire until October 2018.

Meltzer also stated that Ziggler is currently content with his position in WWE before claiming that Dolph will perhaps quit the business if he leaves WWE next year even though he would potentially find success in other wrestling promotions.

Right now, Ziggler doesn’t have a storyline heading into Survivor Series and doesn’t look to be part of the show, but Meltzer believes that Ziggler is happy with WWE right now and is able to split his time between the company and his budding career as a comedian.
